PMB never once practiced a cover song. Hell, we didn’t practice period. We chose to figure it all out on the stage and since we hit the ground running in '95 there was no time for "rehearsals". Any cover we played morphed from some moment that someone (usually me) started and we all threw in our vague memory or take on it. Lyrics were rarely correct and tempos varied. Today is a full studio-immersion kind of day.
