This is in the Qu'appelle Valley from last winter. This drive started off approximately in the Ellisboro area south of Melville to the #9 highway south of Stockholm. The temperature was -34c with a windchill of -41c. The wind was very calm, so I did a short flight and happened to see a moose with her baby. I didn't fly too close as I didn't want to disturb them. This area of the Qu'Appelle Valley is north of Grenfell and south of Melville, Saskatchewan. This road is not always open in winter, so we wanted to take this route before the snow falls! This road takes you to the Duck Point School, which is approximately couple of miles west. It's November 22nd and still no snow! A very foggy day in the Qu'appelle Valley yesterday. The last time we were in this area of the Valley was late fall; there was a very tall spruce tree that had been bare for years, and now it looks like it may have fallen. Every time we were in this area, I was always attracted to that tree; it was sad to see. In this area is Pearl Creek, a small watercourse that flows into the Qu'Appelle River within the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley, specifically located near Highway 47 south of Melville, Saskatche

This is a very interesting area in the Qu'appelle Valley, and I can't wait to see it again in the summer! Pearl Creek was flowing into the Qu'appelle River on a Fall day; however, we did spot some ice forming. This area is just off Highway 47 in the Qu'appelle Valley south of Melville, Saskatchewan.
