The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) says it is working to restore electricity to the Savanna-La-Mar Public General Hospital in Westmoreland. Winds associated with the passage of Hurricane Beryl on Wednesday downed several light poles one of which supplies the hospital on Barracks Road in Savanna-la-mar. Winson Callum, Director of Corporate Communications at JPS, says the repair is being done as a priority before the light and power company moves to reconnect other customers in the parish. Read more
