During peak tourist/snowbird season (April), the Sunday night Siesta drum circle loses its circle. Thus, it loses its meaning. :O To be clear, the drum circle (whether at Nokomis Wednesday & Saturday nights or Siesta & Venice on Sunday nights) is NOT just a free "concert." It's a drum CIRCLE where the circle conveys/invites meaning/expression. Have you noticed the area around percussionists is now roped off to keep visitors from crowding the percussionists? Personally, I don't like seeing this.
