We lost Marc Bolan 47 years ago when he was killed in a car accident in London. Marc was a passenger in a purple Mini driven by a friend who lost control of the car, hitting a fence post before coming to rest against a tree. Neither of them was wearing a seat belt. Bolan died instantly, while the driver suffered broken bones. Ironically Bolan had never learned to drive, for fear of being involved in an accident.
