Curtis and his dog Rex are safe thanks to RNLI Cromer's quick response after Rex unexpectedly jumped off the sea wall into rough seas. Curtis, unfamiliar with the area, tried to save Rex, but strong waves trapped them. What a fantastic start to New Year’s Day on our wonderful Cromer Pier. I was determined to capture this year so set out with a plan to film. In hindsight it was the vibrant waves of the North Sea that created that extra oomph. Fireworks blasting in crescendo as they bounced in time with the white horses beneath. There was a moment when the water swamped my toes, even rocking my tripod, I knew this was real time! A big thank you to the incredible folks next to me, shouting words of encouragement,
