Don’t throw away your old foam clay! We cracked open an old tub of foam clay recently, and were surprised by the stiff, lumpy texture, even though it had never been opened! If this happens to you, don’t worry: foam clay’s light, fluffy texture is in part thanks to how much air is contained in the clay, and over a year or more, that air can consolidate into large, uneven pockets. All it takes is some elbow grease to redistribute them again! We’re using foam clay from @sksprops for this tutorial,

I like to add some water to my foam clay (and the armor piece that I want the clay to stick to) and it helps to adhere the clay to the foam. But sometimes, details just don't want to 'stick around', and they come loose when the clay dries. Then I just pull it off, and use some contact glue to stick it back on!
