Codependency is incredibly deep! When you’re codependent, you’re codependent on just about everyone and everything. Albeit subconsciously, you’ll fawn after approval, and automatically smile at people just to make sure they feel good. It’s like, an automatic response. You don’t know you’re doing it—trying to make people feel good — because as a child you learned that fawning kept people calmer and less likely to lash out at you. You’ll apologize for when someone bumps into you—for someone’s rent
