Retro Rewind 80s: TV Time - Hill Street Blues As a young kid (I was 8 when it started airing), I had an odd love affair with Hill Street Blues. I’d been a fan of shows like Emergency, Beretta, and SWAT in the 70s, and that carried over. For me, Hill Street Blues was an “adult” show and was something I latched on to. My parents and I never missed a single episode. Hill Street Blues was filmed differently than other shows at the time - using handheld/steadicams to get a faux documentary feel to it
