UPDATE: Koda Two weeks ago, Koda underwent a routine gelding at UF. The surgery went well, but the next day he developed a fever. Two days later, he developed laminitis, and his kidney function declined. On ultrasound, they discovered some major anatomical abnormalities with his kidneys. The vets were not optimistic, and we prepared ourselves for the worst. Thankfully, his kidney function improved in a couple of days. So, although his kidneys are a little funky looking, at least they are working
