We generally think of flying-foxes as pollen, nectar and fruit feeders but there are many elements to a flying-fox diet. Flying-foxes are know to eat different varieties of leaves and bark and they have been seen eating lerps and evening moths. Although we may never know the exact composition of a wild flying-fox diet, we aim to provide browse and leaf to our bats in care to encourage foraging behaviour and to add a nutritional boost.
