Waitangi Day is where we commemorate the first signing of New Zealand’s founding document: Te Tiriti o Waitangi, The Treaty of Waitangi, on 6 February 1840. An introduction to The Treaty of Waitangi, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, will give participants a basic understanding of some of the key concepts of Aotearoa New Zealand history.
