In 1843, Charles Dickens gave his friend and literary rival William Thackeray this inscribed copy of his book A Christmas Carol, kept in our Rare and Manuscript Collections. This video features Lance Heidig, our dearly missed colleague who passed away in 2021. With his knowledge and passion, Lance helped connect our collections with communities at Cornell and beyond.
