If timer still won't advance, unplug connector from control board, check for dirty contacts on control board and plug. Re-seat plug and try again with sensor wire still disconnected. The clothes dry halfway, then if you run it again, they will dry correctly. I thought this would be a moisture sensor issue, but I can't find it inside the drum!

May 28, 2011 · So I packed up my 2 year old Maytag LDE9206ACE Electric dryer, disassembled it and stored it in the basement. The dryer that came with the house finally went and now here come the Maytag out of the mothballs. Reassembled it. Works with some issues. Auto Dry does not heat. Looked at the parts diagram and it does not seem to have a moisture sensor.

A this point I think I've replaced everything but the computer board: coils, gas valve, ignitor, flame sensor, high limit switch, thermistor, event the moisture sensor bars. Not sure what else it could be.
