Apr 27, 2021 · For parts that need to be a single texture in Part Designers (like the legs and hips) I just take a screenshot of the interface of Part Designer and use it to align the texture. You still need to experiment a bit when placing them (especially for the face, the torsos usually are the easiest textures to place) in Part Designer, but it works.

Apr 22, 2022 · So there are a lot of people submitting part of the answer, so here is an expanded answer including why not all torsos have it. The torsos are printed, including the marking on the neck. Later the arms are attached and a light sensor scans the necks to make sure the arms get attached the correct way.

Disassemble the whole minifigure, make sure to also separate the arms from the torso and the hips from the legs (however, if you’re doing a decal that goes from the torso onto the decal then definitely keep them together). Something similar happened to me. I got a captain Rex that I thought was a fake. It turns out that it actually is a fake, the normal markings aren’t there, but it was printed on real Lego parts. They must have gotten ahold of a blank clone trooper and printed Captain Rex on it. I couldn’t tell because it was in a case.
