What size SAPI plates do I need and recommendation on Level 4 …
Apr 19, 2022 · I'm a little unsure what size SAPI plates to get. I'm 10" across at the nipples center to center. 9" across at the inside edge of nipples. 15" from sternal notch down to 1" above belly button when standing, about 14-14.5" when sitting down. Height is 5'11" and weight is just under 200 lbs with a pretty solid athletic build.

The sizes, angles, and lengths of each part of the plate are specifically spelled out as a spec. All SAPI are the same with identical shape, thus why top end companies use that standard, plus it us what is military issued.

One difference, The Hesco is Medium SAPI, the Protech is 10x12 shooter's cut. Take a look. Sep 28, 2020 · The medium JPC is sized for SAPI plates which are 9.5” x 12.5”. I can confirm that it does fit and it works fine. There is some empty space where you would expect on the top left and right shoulders. It’s not significant. The width is a little bit tight but going up to a large would be too loose. It’s fits fine though.

Apr 3, 2018 · The way Crye sizes things is to determine the carrier size based on your body size, then they assume you are using the correct size SAPI plate. Based on your chest measurement you should be wearing a large JPC with large SAPI plates. If anything, what they are telling you is that your plate is too small.

Aug 28, 2019 · Dont put 10x12 plates in a JPC, it is perfectly cut for SAPI sized plates. You will have no armor in the top of your plate bag most likely with 10x12 plates. I'd recommend a Hesco 3610 but if you want less expensive, RMA 1092 is all that really fits the bill, but its a bit thicker.

If you want cheaper, the M210 is a multi curve that’s kind of heavier but stops M855/A1. But your carrier is made for large SAPI plates.
