Mar 3, 2020 · mmmm pretty sure they wont rust when you remove the PVD, you may get the odd spot here and there but that will probably be it, Titleist's black and Taylormade MG Black are actually Raw underneath the finish so they will rust when you remove it, dont think thats the case with the Cobra tour trustys. Dec 12, 2021 · That's because those irons don't have a PVD coating like most black irons from other OEMs. The color is BAKED into the metal instead. I wouldn't be surprised if they show barely any wear after 500+ rounds.

Folks who are familiar with playing golf in the desert region states have to learn quickly that clubs are tools, not jewels. Day 2: Played 18 holes, normally play 27 but to busy. Been playing 45 years yet every week I’m trying something different, lol!

I have both and took out the Forged MB's last week and they feel like teaspoons after using the REV33 for months. Posted July 10, 2022. When you try to get grey it is likely you will get spots of carbon that comes up to the surface after a few weeks or months, It will look like rust spots. I’ve even gotten this when going from dark blues to light blues in the heat sequence. Undoubtedly the prep will also have some affect.

It is simular to gun blueing but applied to titanium. It is an oxide type chemical finish. I know you can get gun blue solution for raw steel and aluminum but I'm sure about titanium.

Jul 26, 2012 · I would say that the PVD finishes show minor cosmetic wear quicker and definitely won't look new as long as non-PVD irons, but over the long haul the irons seem more durable and their worn appearance more appealing.
