Jul 24, 2022 · I have the air cooler than came with my R12 (bought it less than two weeks ago) and I am considering changing it for a liquid CPU cooler as the CPU throttles during gaming (non-overclocked). Temps reach ~100C very fast. I assume that "AIO" refers to liquid cooling. Now I had already read that post which dates back to 2021.

Jul 6, 2022 · Cryotech liquid cooler and regular liquid cooler are both 120 mm CLC made by Asetek for Dell. Cryotech pump has LED rim, while regular cooler pump logo looks like older Aurora models. both liquid coolers have LED 120mm rad fan. PS based on report, both options sold for R13 but only the regular liquid cooler for R14 (in addition to 65w air cooler).

In the Prime 95 test, the difference in CPU temps from the previous XPS 8930 case using this new case setup and the CPU radiator fan fixed at 1700 RPM was -14C. At the end of test, the highest CPU core temp was 54 degrees.

Sep 9, 2020 · The fact that Dell created a location in the top front of the XPS 8940 chassis for a 3.5" HDD is great. Was wasted space in the G5. The Corsair H60 AIO CPU liquid cooler can mount in that front location and would have been great for CPU cooling. Move that 3.5" HDD mounted in the front location up to that top bracket and install the AIO.

Solution 2: Purchase a 3 way, 4 pin fan splitter, removed the existing CPU fan and attach it to the 4 fin that has the 3rd pin for the tach. Place the fan wherever you like. I placed my in an exhaust location in the place the top fan would normally go.
