Weishoupt is not a boiler. It is a burner. You can get a mounting plate for any boiler that you want to use. I am familiar with only two modulating oil burners in the residential market. I primarily work on boilers above 50 million btu. The other manufacturer that makes a modulating oil burner that I am familiar with is North American.

We also have 10 year old central AC with ducts leading from the air handler in the attic to the 1st and 2nd floor ceilings and one thermostat on the 2nd floor. During the summer when the boiler is on only for hot water the cycling to maintain boiler temperature throughout the day is wasting oil. By my best guess maybe 1/2 gallon or more per day. Our home is ~2300 sq. ft. (living area) 3 floors, 1 zone on each floor, baseboard heat. The garage is ~600 sq. ft. with a garage unit heater.

I love Riello burners but have found them to be a bit noisy in certain situations. They tend to be quiet in the immediate vicinity of the boiler/boilerroom, but can sound like a train from the living room that has a flue next to the fireplace flue. If you have the room, ask about the direct vent models.(not sure if it's available with the 215 yet).
