NVMe M.2 SSD not showing in Windows 11 Storage Spaces
Dec 18, 2022 · I just "rebuilt", upgraded, my computer. I also upgraded to Windows 11. Everything went well. I used a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB NVMe M.2 4.0 for the main drive and installed qty. 3 Crucial P3 1TB PCIe Gen3 on the remaining three available slots for storage. I can see the three Crucial drives in BIOS, Disk Manager, windows folder, etc.

Oct 17, 2024 · Locate your current NVMe SSD (it should be near the battery or cooling components). Remove the screw securing the SSD, and gently pull the drive out of the slot. Insert your new 1TB SSD into the slot at an angle, and secure it with the same screw. Once the SSD is secured, place the bottom cover back on and screw it in.

Apr 11, 2021 · Using the diskpart tool I don't see a Disk 1, although it might have been the USB during installation. When attempting to install Windows on the NVMe SSD, the NVMe is Disk 0 and the SATA SSD disconnected. There are no other apparent boot options after the windows installation on the NVMe SSD, resulting in booting directly into the BIOS.

May 5, 2020 · I first want to copy the entirety of my original drive onto the new one and then install the 1TB properly inside the PCIe slot. I have purchased a WavLink USB-C Gen 2 M.2 SSD Enclosure so that I could copy the files onto the 1TB drive. However, plugging in the enclosure using USB-C to USB-C I get no new drives showing up in the disk manager at all.

The BIOS is updated to F30, the latest version of the BIOS in the PCIEX16 spot and it reads it as PCIE 3.0 x16 @ 1.0 x16.
