Here is a timeline of all actresses who played Elphaba on Broadway
Sep 10, 2020 · I did use the wikia yes, and also used the starting dates since I'm not really sure how to find the exact dates for all the Elphaba's. I will try though, thanks for the info. And yeah, there were some small problems on the Willemijn timeline, they're on …
Elphaba's Glasses : r/wicked - Reddit
I love the half-figure eight frames on Elphaba's glasses. It's a nice stylistic choice. Also, I saw some complaints that fancy specs like those would not fit her character. If this was a more grounded setting, I would agree. However, my counterargument is that this is the whimsical land of Oz. For all we know, those are standard issue there.

Jun 10, 2024 · #19 - The Wicked Witch of the East Trying to save Boq Note: due to the scene needing Elphaba to move Boq's chair, she may miss the start. It’s so much more impressive when you consider she’s the youngest ever actor to play Elphaba, being only 18 when she began playing the role. Honourable mentions:
How come Elphaba isn’t “old and ugly” like in The Wizard of Oz?
May 16, 2024 · Wicked is its own continuity (and The Wicked Years books are also a separate continuity from the Wicked play). Even in the MGM film, she wasn't old. She was middle aged at best. Elphaba starts at age seventeen and ends the story in her thirties, at least in the book. No clue about the play. Elphaba is never really described as ugly in the books ...

Elphaba’s death : r/wicked - Reddit
Aug 14, 2023 · Totally worth it. The book is a different beast entirely. It is a rumination on ethics and fate, through characters and moments that are a blend of the Oz books (more frightening and surreal than most media adaptions) and the elements of 1939 film (Elphie's green skin is an invention for the technicolor film, and the Witches of Oz aren't sisters in the books).
