Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur meet for the first time this season and it's a knockout affair when the League Cup fourth round hits St. James' Park on Wednesday.

Tottenham were dumped out of the EFL Cup in the fourth round by reigning champions Newcastle United. They’ll be looking to bounce back against Chelsea, but that’s also an uphill task. Spurs have only managed one win from their last seven Premier League meetings with Chelsea (D1, L5), losing the previous four in a row.
Newcastle have won two free-kicks in dangerous areas already and from the second one, Sandro Tonali's delivery found the head of Malick Thiaw but his header was blocked. The ball found its way to the edge of the box to Joe Willock and his effort was blocked too. A much changed Newcastle have looked bright early doors.
