The Phoenix Zoo has announced the passing of their 59-year-old female Asian elephant, who had been with the zoo since 1998.

The Phoenix Zoo euthanized its last elephant on Thursday. Indu, who had been in captivity for most of her life, was 59.

Fern and Thistle, two mountain lion cubs, will call the Phoenix Zoo their “fur-ever” home.
