Four people are dead after a shooter opened fire at Anaconda’s Owl Bar at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, according to a press release from the Montana Department of Justice.

A manhunt is intensifying for the gunman who allegedly killed a bartender and three patrons at a bar in southwestern Montana, authorities said.

The victims killed during a shooting at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, Montana, range in age from 59 to 74, Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen said in a news conference Sunday.
