Storm Eowyn has left its mark on Ireland and brought plenty of damage to Dublin overnight. The red weather warning has now passed for Dublin, with an orange warning currently in place until 12 noon. That will then downgrade to a yellow warning as strong gusts remain.

Gusts of 174km/h have been recorded in Mace Head as Storm Éowyn batters Ireland. Hurricane force mean speeds of 135km/h were also recorded in Mace Head, breaking the mean wind speed record of 131 km/h set in 1945 at Foynes, Limerick.

Dublin has entered a yellow weather warning as the worst of Storm Eowyn has left Irish shores. After the red weather warning finished at 11am we entered an orange warning. Met Eireann updated the warnings this morning and downgraded Dublin to a yellow warning from 12 noon.
