The Mega Millions jackpot has risen to $44 million for Tuesday's drawing after no one won the top prize on Friday night. If someone should match all six numbers in the Tuesday night drawing, they could choose a one-time cash payment of $19.

Someone won $50,000 playing Mega Millions after matching four numbers and the Mega Ball in the Jan. 28 drawing, just missing the estimated $44 million jackpot, the Georgia Lottery said. The winning ticket was sold at a Kroger fuel station in Tucker, according to lottery officials.

Mega Millions drawings are held each Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Saturday’s Powerball drawing is worth an estimated $331 million with a cash option of $147.5 million.
