Josh Brolin is weighing in on whether or not he thinks a Goonies sequel is a good idea 40 years after the film’s original release. Brolin, 57, admitted that he had some “trepidation” about a second movie while speaking with Entertainment Tonight on July 31.

The Goonies star Josh Brolin has admitted he has “trepidation” about the Eighties adventure film’s forthcoming sequel. Brolin, 57, who starred as Brand Walsh in the original movie when he was 16 years old, said he has such fond memories of his experience working on the project that he fears the reboot could taint them.

"The experience was so great," he says of starring in the original 1985 adventure flick, adding that he doesn't want to taint his memory of it with a subpar sequel.
