Johnnie Harris’ tenure as the head coach of Auburn women’s basketball came to an abrupt end following a disappointing 12-18 season culminating in an early exit from the SEC tournament. Harris, who had previously served as an associate head coach at Mississippi State and Texas was unable to sustain momentum after a promising 20-12 season in 2023-24.

On Thursday, the program announced it'd be moving on from Johnnie Harris as head coach. Harris failed to get the Tigers back to the NCAA Tournament for what would've been a second-straight season. Instead, her program followed a 20-win season with a 12-win finish.
