President Donald Trump is traveling to central Texas on Friday to survey the aftermath of a catastrophic flood that has killed more than 100 people and put his administration on the sudden defensive over its emergency response efforts.

Over 100 people have died after heavy rain pounded Kerr County, Texas, early Friday, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, the sheriff said.

Texas has been devastated by the loss of personal and property. While the nation mourned the loss and the tragedy, people have complained about the silence from the White House. The current administration was called cold and irresponsible to not even release any statement on the tragedy.
