Flu is taking off in the U.S., with 40 states reporting high or very high levels of flu-like illness last week.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today announced that it is awarding $306 million more in funding to support the nation's response to H5N1 avian flu.

The guidelines recommend a 4-month drug regimen for adults and children with drug-susceptible TB, and a 6-month regimen for those with drug-resistant TB.
