CHICAGO — Advocate Health Care is closing all of its clinics inside Walgreens stores in Illinois. The health care system announced Wednesday that 47 of its locations will shut down next Thursday. Advocate said it will offer various alternate positions for the employees involved.

Advocate Health Care announced that it will close all its Walgreens-based clinics in Illinois on Feb. 6. In a statement, the health system said the decision was made "after careful consideration" and that it plans to help current clinic employees find alternative roles.
