More than two years after Jimmie “Jay” Lee went missing, the remains of the University of Mississippi student and well-known member of Oxford’s LGBTQ+ community have been found.

Police in Oxford, Mississippi, have confirmed that remains found last week are those of University of Mississippi student Jimmy “Jay” Lee, who disappeared more than two years ago.

The remains of University of Mississippi student Jimmie “Jay” Lee were confirmed to have been found in Carroll County, Mississippi, nearly three years after his disappearance. On Saturday, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Oxford Police Department regarding the discovery of human remains reportedly found by hunters in the area.
