Home Depot co-founder, philanthropist Bernie Marcus dies at 95
The Home Depot co-founder Bernard "Bernie" Marcus, one of the region’s biggest benefactors, has died. He was 95 years old. “The entire Home Depot family is deeply saddened,” the company said in a prepared statement. “We owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to Bernie. He was a master merchant and a retail visionary.”
