New Haven has landed $12.1 million in state aid to help transform Long Wharf Park into an amenity-rich destination, as part of a broader rebuild of the city’s industrial waterfront district.

New Haven’s Long Wharf Park, located off I-95 and known for its food trucks, is getting a $12.1 million makeover funded by the Connecticut Community Investment Fund grant.

Plans are in place to develop New Haven’s Long Wharf Drive into a park. Thousands of people pass by this spot everyday with the highway right next to it.
