Canadian National Railway will relocate its operations from Jasper, a town in the province of Alberta, to Hinton, about 100 kilometers away, said the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference in a statement.

The Canadian National Railway (CN) announced it’s moving its crew change terminal out of Jasper. One-third of the buildings in the mountain town were burned down by wildfire in July.

Canadian National plans to move operations from Jasper 60 miles east to Hinton, Canada’s Global News reports. A wildfire burned through Jasper in July 2024, burning about one-third of the city and displacing thousands of residents.
