Governor Kathy Hochul proposed expanding New York’s tax credit for more than 2.75 million kids. The plan would give 1.6 million Empire State families a tax credit of up to $1,000 dollars per child under the age of 4, and $500 for kids ages 4 to 16. It would be the largest boost to New York’s child tax credit system in history.

“The Empire State Child Credit is a proven accountable way to deliver vital support to New York families.
