The driver of a pickup truck died over the weekend after crashing into a semi truck that was attempting a u-turn on a South Carolina Road, officials report. At around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, police said a Ford Ranger pickup truck collided with a tractor-trailer on Flat Creek Road at Pit-A-Tat Road -- which is about eight miles north of the city of Lancaster.

The incident occurred when the semi-truck was struck by a wrong-way driver who was suspected of driving under the influence.

The wrong-way driver apparently was headed south in the northbound lanes of I-5 when he crashed into a semi-trailer near Maytown in Thurston County.
