The tennis season's first grand slam tournament – the Australian Open – is almost here. Last year, we saw an impressive back-to-back triumph in the women's singles, while a surging young gun took out the men's draw.

Aryna Sabalenka bids to become the first woman to win three consecutive Australian Open singles titles since Martina Hingis from 1997-99. Sabalenka, seeded first at a Slam for the first time, opened the first Grand Slam of 2025 with a sweep of 2017 U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens.
