Apple today released firmware updates for both AirPods 4 models (version number 7B20) and the AirPods Pro 2 with both Lightning and USB-C

However, the AirPods Pro 2 are up to twice as good at canceling ambient sounds as the AirPods 4 (with ANC), as they include silicon ear tips that seal the ear canal and increase passive cancelation. At the same time, the open design of the AirPods 4 lets in more noise.

According to classaction.org, a class action lawsuit has been filed against the Cupertino giant around sound quality and noise canceling complaints. There's no word about how much money the lawsuit is looking for, but it will apparently cover everyone who bought a pair of the affected earbuds.
