An American Airlines flight's wing clipped the tail of a United Airlines flight Wednesday morning at O'Hare airport, the airlines and Federal Aviation Administration said.

Hundreds of passengers were moved from their flights at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport Wednesday after an American Airlines plane clipped a United Airlines aircraft.

An American Airlines Boeing 737-800 was moving on a taxiway when it hit the tail of a United Boeing 787 that was taxiing on a different strip, the FAA told WBBM. No one was hurt.

"It felt like we hit a pothole. Some people felt it, some didn't. Nonetheless, a few minutes later, the pilot got on the PA and said that we had tail strike," Lewis said.
