Uber and China's Baidu will partner to deploy thousands of Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous vehicles on the Uber platform across several international markets outside the U.S. and mainland China, the companies said on Tuesday.

In May, Uber Technologies and May Mobility, an AV technology firm, entered into a multi-year collaboration to introduce AVs in US cities. The initiative is poised to launch thousands of AVs on the Uber platform, with Arlington, Texas, anticipated to be the first city by the end of this year.

Baidu is the latest addition to Uber's growing list of autonomous vehicle partners, which includes Waymo, Volkswagen, May Mobility, and Pony AI.
