A new survey from Emerson College Polling shows former governor Roy Cooper (D) leading early in the North Carolina U.S.

Michael Whatley launched his campaign for North Carolina’s open Senate seat with unified Republican backing and President Donald Trump’s endorsement.

The attacks included the campaign of Gov. Roy Cooper, who could end up facing Whatley in the 2026 general election.
