The Milwaukee Brewers have traded for catcher Danny Jansen from the Tampa Bay Rays. Minor league infielder Jadher Areinamo was sent to the Rays in exchange for Jansen. Jansen, an Appleton West High School graduate, provides catching depth while William Contreras recovers from a fractured finger.

Make it back-to-back seasons that catcher Danny Jansen has moved at the Trade Deadline. This time, he’s moving home to Wisconsin. Jansen, 30, is the pride of Appleton West High School, about 90 miles north of American Family Field and home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers,
