Cal Fire and local agencies are investigating several recent fires in the region, including the Border 2 Fire that has burned over 6,600 acres.

After a night of rain that potentially aided firefighting efforts, the Border 2 Fire was 43% contained by Monday morning.

The Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire also remain active. At least 28 people have died as multiple wildfires, fueled by severe drought conditions and strong winds, rage across Southern California.
