ESPN's Bill Barnwell has the Seattle Seahawks filling a positional need and gaining draft picks in a deal involving the No. 18 overall pick.
It is less than a month to the 2025 NFL draft and the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to wait and see if quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to sign with the Steelers, sign with another team or simply retire. If the situation drags on into the Summer, the Steelers will have to navigate the draft with an uncomfortable level of uncertainty.
History is against them, but they could do worse than finding the meanest, most goonish run mauler they can find to try to establish a new identity in the trenches. According to ESPN, their best hope there is NDSU left tackle Grey Zabel, who they have pegged as the best fit for the Seahawks.
CBS Sports NFL Draft analyst Mike Renner discusses some tight ends the Seattle Seahawks could draft with their bevy of picks in the second and third rounds.
The Seahawks had signed former Browns safety D'Anthony Bell to a one-year deal, per Jordan Schultz. He is primarily a special teams player who could see an expanded role in Seattle. Bell has played in all but one game for the Browns dating back to 2022.
While Gallup may have been an intriguing option/gamble, it's hard to be too upset (if at all) that he decided to not sign with the Seahawks. Overall, Seattle has made several splashes in the free agent market with Sam Darnold, Cooper Kupp and another former Dallas Cowboy in DeMarcus Lawrence.
"The one number for the Seattle Mariners that stood out to me is 50," said ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan to Seattle Sports' Brock and Salk.
