Meal delivery company Deliveroo has suspended its £100m share buyback programme today, days after it said it had received a $3.6 billion buyout proposal from US peer DoorDash.

Deliveroo said that “it would be minded to recommend such an offer” to its shareholders, assuming an offer is made on those terms.
