Colorado Parks and Wildlife on Sunday received a mortality alert from the collar of one of the wolves relocated in January from Canada to Colorado.

A gray wolf that had been released in Colorado apparently traveled more than 350 miles north to Wyoming, where it was killed by federal officials. It had been found at a site where five sheep were killed by at least one wolf.

Teachers across several school districts gathered at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver on Thursday to rally ahead of proposed funding cuts to education.

Joel Jose Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 32, and Geilond Vido-Romero, 24, escaped from the facility in Aurora on Tuesday, according to ICE. Their escape was detected after they were unaccounted for during a 2 p.m. facility-wide count.

The two men escaped on Tuesday night during a power outage at the facility. It wasn't until 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday that staff noticed that the men were missing.
