A road work inspector who made it to safety just before the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed last March is planning to file a claim, according to an attorney.

The employer of the six workers who died in the Key Bridge collapse sued the Singaporean companies behind the massive Dali container ship.

The Justice Department alleges that mechanical and electrical systems on the massive ship had been "jury-rigged" and improperly maintained, culminating in a power outage moments before it crashed into a support column on the Francis Scott Key Bridge in March.
