The Plainfield Area Humane Society battled serious flooding, but thanks to dedicated volunteers, all animals were rescued. Now, they need community support to recover and restock essential supplies.

The shelter’s director and manager swam through flood waters and debris to get to the shelter Monday night and check on the animals, the Facebook post said.
