Thundersnow, a rare and powerful winter weather event, could make an appearance in Northeast Wisconsin as Winter Storm Cooper approaches.

Another winter storm is unleashing its fury across the central U.S., bringing heavy snow and ice to portions of the Plains and Midwest, forcing officials to close state offices and schools and prompting warnings to delay travel if possible.

Another powerful storm system is expected to sweep across a wide swath of the United States, bringing heavy rain to Southern California, heavy snow to parts of the West and Midwest and more snow and freezing rain to the Northeast and New England.
